Our approach to hormone replacement therapy in Lafayette
Tired of band aid solutions?
It’s time to pull back the curtain and get to the root cause.
Here's some Xanax. Try Lexapro. Get more sleep. Work out more. Your labs are normal, this is just part of being a woman. If you've heard any version of this, you already know how it ends: another year of feeling unlike yourself, with a medicine cabinet full of prescriptions that never actually fixed anything.
At Her NOVA Wellness, we do the opposite. We sit down. We listen. We run the comprehensive labs your full picture deserves. And we treat the cause of what you're feeling, not the symptoms layered on top of it. Because normal is not the goal. Optimal is.
It takes the time it takes
No one should be rushed through an appointment.
A different approach
-

You have our full attention from the second you walk in the door
Your first visit is an unhurried hour, not a rushed fifteen minutes. No notes typed into a screen while you talk.
-

You always have access to ask your provider a question
Through our secure messaging platform, your care team is just a message away for the questions that come up between visits, the symptom that surprised you, or the update worth sharing.
-

We create solid action plans based around your unique needs
Your protocol is built from your labs, your symptoms, and your goals. We re-test every three months to refine until you feel like yourself again.
Specialized care for every hormonal season.
PCOS (PMOS)
One of the most common and most under-treated hormonal conditions in women. We address the underlying hormonal and metabolic imbalances behind irregular cycles, stubborn weight, acne, and insulin resistance — with a plan built specifically for your body.
Perimenopause
The decade before menopause is often the most misunderstood. Mood swings, sleep disruption, anxiety, weight changes, and brain fog aren't stress — they're hormones in transition. We restore balance before symptoms take over your life. These hormonal changes can begin as early as mid 30s.
Menopause
Hot flashes, night sweats, low libido, brain fog, weight gain — the symptoms most women are told to simply live with. With evidence-based bioidentical hormone replacement, this chapter can feel like a new beginning rather than a slow decline.

BHRT stands for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
Bioidentical hormones are molecularly identical to the hormones your body naturally produces estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and others, which means your body recognizes and uses them the way it was designed to. We use BHRT to restore optimal hormone levels in women navigating perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, thyroid imbalance, and other hormonal conditions. The goal isn't to mask your symptoms. It's to address the root cause so you can feel like yourself again.

We don't take insurance for our consultations or treatments and that's intentional. Insurance dictates how much time providers can spend with patients, what tests they're "allowed" to order, and what treatments they can recommend. We built Her NOVA to practice medicine the way we believe it should be practiced: unhurried appointments, comprehensive lab work, and protocols designed around you, not around what an insurance code will reimburse.
What you get in exchange for paying out of pocket: a full hour with your provider, direct messaging access between visits, comprehensive labs that go far beyond a standard panel, and a treatment plan built specifically for your biology.
Labs start at $175.00, we offer advanced cardiac biomarkers at an additional price if you desire this diagnostic work up.
However, you have options to make care more accessible:
Lab work can be billed to your insurance if you prefer. If you don't have insurance or prefer to pay cash, comprehensive lab panels start at $175.00.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted for our services.

Lab work
Before your first appointment, we'll have you complete our comprehensive lab panel, this gives your provider the full picture before you ever sit down together.
Your first visit
About 1-2 weeks after your labs are drawn, you'll meet with your provider for a full-hour consultation. We'll walk through your labs, your symptoms, your goals, and the treatment options that are right for you. By the end, you'll leave with a personalized protocol and a real understanding of what's been happening in your body.
Your initial consultation is $249 and includes your full provider visit and customized treatment plan. Hormones are dispensed exclusively through our clinic in partnership with our trusted compounding pharmacies, this allows us to ensure quality, dosing accuracy, and a seamless experience from prescription to delivery. We also offer pharmaceutical-grade supplements available for purchase directly through the clinic.
-
We follow up every three months. This cadence allows us to track your progress, re-test as needed, and refine your protocol as your body responds. Hormone optimization isn't a one-and-done prescription, it's an ongoing relationship, and consistent follow-up is what makes the difference between feeling "a little better" and feeling truly optimal.
Between appointments, you'll also have direct messaging access to your provider through our secure platform for questions, updates, or anything that comes up in between.
-
Our comprehensive new patient panel evaluates the full hormonal and metabolic picture, including:
Hormones — estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and others
Thyroid function — full panel, not just TSH
Metabolic markers — glucose, insulin, and lipid profile
Inflammation markers
Vitamin levels — including Vitamin D and B12
Iron studies
Kidney and liver function
If your provider determines you'd benefit from more specialized testing such as advanced micronutrient analysis or genetic testing those are available as well.

We offer pellet therapy selectively. While pellets work beautifully for some women, our preferred approach is to begin treatment with delivery methods that allow for precise, adjustable dosing — typically oral, topical creams, or injections. This gives us the ability to fine-tune your protocol in real time as your body responds.
Pellets, by contrast, are semi-permanent once placed, they release hormones for 3-6 months and can't be adjusted mid-cycle. For women who have been on hormone therapy for years and are happy with their dose, or for those who strongly prefer the convenience of pellets, we're happy to offer them. But for most patients starting their journey with us, we recommend beginning with more flexible delivery methods first.

No, and we don't want to be. We're a specialized hormone clinic. We focus exclusively on hormonal optimization and the conditions that surround it. We strongly encourage you to maintain your relationship with your primary care provider and OB/GYN for annual exams and broader health needs. That said, our comprehensive lab work can be shared with your other providers and used as part of your overall annual care so you're not duplicating tests or paying twice.
-
Absolutely. Testosterone is one of the most overlooked and most powerful hormones in women's health. While it's often thought of as a "male" hormone, women produce testosterone too, and declining levels can contribute to fatigue, low motivation, brain fog, low libido, mood changes, and loss of muscle tone.
For many women, testosterone is the missing piece. Patients already on estrogen or progesterone who are still feeling depleted often experience profound relief once testosterone is added. And for women in perimenopause who aren't yet candidates for estrogen, testosterone alone can make a meaningful difference.
We offer testosterone therapy through oral, topical creams, and injections, with dosing carefully tailored to your labs, your symptoms, and your goals. Your comprehensive lab panel and consultation with your provider will determine whether you're a candidate.

Yes, though we don't actively market to them. Her NOVA is, first and foremost, a women's hormone clinic, and that focus is intentional. Women have been underserved by traditional medicine for too long, and our entire experience from the moment you call to the space you walk into is designed around her.
That said, we are fully certified to treat male clients, and we're proud to welcome the husbands, partners, and fathers who join us. Many of them come at the encouragement of their wife or partner who has experienced the difference our care can make. For them, we've designed something special: The Man Cave a private space within our clinic set aside just for our male patients. Because every patient deserves to feel like the experience was made for them.
